"Years of the music evolving led to this." - e.c.
"Hello!"
Most of the music is on the darker side. Songs that start off on a lighter note usually end up somewhere in between. The words Dark Pale made sense and terminated frustrating name brainstorming that was revisited over the years.
I've always found that compared to writing music, lyrics can sometimes be the greater challenge. I think love songs are an easy way out. Boy meets girl... girl leaves boy... boy murders girl... Ahh, there's that "Dark" side popping up again. Maybe it has something to do with being a night person. I've been up all night as far back as I can remember. The world is yours while everyone around sleeps. You can focus on what you're doing without distractions or interruptions. It's a peaceful and better part of a day.
I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by family and love at home and able to enjoy giving it back. I never had an interest in writing love songs. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate on it but do believe it's best left to people like Lennon who summed the entire love song subject up in a song called "Love." (Listen Here) If that was the only song ever written about it, we may have never needed another.

Radio Western in London Ontario got in touch and played "That Feeling" on their Morning show Coasting. Well how cool is that? Here's the broadcast clip. That Feeling on Radio Western.
A quote from their message...
..."Typically I filter through a few hundred each week so I've gotten pretty good at selecting a particular sound and style that works for my show. Your music, especially That Feeling has a catchy 80's meets modern era quality along with interesting lyrics - something I grew up with in the 80s and has stuck with me. Thanks for your creativity and ability to take us away for a few minutes into that musical space that makes us feel alive."

Thanks for that comment. You listen to a lot of music and your comments are highly respected.
My kids got a real kick out it too. I'd have to say though, the best part of this was their excitement when they thought we were going to be millionaires right after the song played on "the radio."
